A full comprehensive eye exam can take up to 3 hours. If dilation is required, vision may remain blurry for up to 4 hours β please arrange for someone to drive you home.
Dilation involves eye drops that enlarge your pupils so the doctor can examine the back of your eye. It temporarily blurs near vision for 4β6 hours. Your doctor will advise you on the day.
